Application errors

I am having a very difficult time with the pdf printing application using adobe reader x. Now if I take the pdf file and attach it in a email and send it to myself and open it on my windows 7 os installed on my laptop and download it to my document folder, I can print it with no problem, but I can not print it in the WDP os. It keeps generating an exception error to adobe reader. Strangely enough if there is a pdf file on the web browser page, I can view it and print it. The exact pdf was the file from taxact software.
